^{_{2010 thus far has been good to us.  Recently, we brought in a Mazzer auto-dosing grinder, which we default to our NEAPOLITAN ESPRESSO.  (For more information on the grinder, see: http://www.mazzer.com/news.asp?id=1 )}Working in a high-volume café like COFFEE BAR, the baristas have taken the new machine on kindly.  The experts at Mr. Espresso (our boss Luigi included) set the double shot dose to a precise 18.5 grams.  Although not 18.5 grams each time, in the Barista’s skepticism, our showings found that the Mazzer produces doses within +/- .5 grams – a level of accuracy we are quite thrilled about.  When asked about the new grinder, COFFEE BAR Barista Connor Moore noted his shots were “just as Slick.” (Slick being a word to describe the Espresso – a COFFEE BAR slogan of sort)  But moreover, the screen covering the grinder chute breaks up the clumps of coffee, keeping the grounds static free as they fall through the stainless steel funnel.  This simple screen and funnel aids in the distribution of grounds thereby reducing channeling, and contributing to a more thorough, consistent extraction.  It keeps us Slick.}

  ^{The new machine provides our Espresso customers with less wait.  Lets face it, during a rush the Barista can get backed up and even the most patient of customers can get flustered.  With the new grinder, the Barista shaves seconds off of his/her dosing and speeds up the entire process while still allowing for personal expression in each individual shot.  The result: The same rich, intense espresso with complex chocolate and nuttiness in less time.}
